The 'V' neck smock was developed for wearing over shirts and blouses. It is easier to get on and off than the traditional crew neck and is a ideal when you want a bit more style and protection from the wind is not so important. Traditionally these garments are not overlocked. The original smock had 3/4 length sleeves and no pockets but these are now replaced with full length sleeves and 2 big patch pockets on the front that have re-enforced stitching on the pockets . Our children's smocks stand the test of time, they are handed down from offspring to offspring, fading gently to an aged colour. Just like mum and dad wear, the crew neck is a smock for the more traditional child. Made from 100% cotton drill with with patch pockets. The smallest size in the crew neck style is the 3-5 year because the neck gap is too big for the body. So no crew neck in 1-2 year or 2-3 year available.

Sometimes you just do not need pockets. Usually when they might get in the way and get things caught in them. Ideal for woodturners , also rowing were you get the oar stuck in them. So supplying a demand we make a smock with no pockets. They come in crew neck only at present going back to the authentic fisherman's smock from the 1800's. These ditty bags are ideal for wash bags, travel bags and any time you need to keep things together, I use one to hold all my pricing bits at shows. The natural ditty is made from our heaviest canvas and stands up well on it's own, the other colors are the same as the smock material. Our new duffel bag is made from a strong natural canvas. These duffel bags are 21"" high and have a 12"diameter base.They have a thick cotton cord running through brass eyelets as closure at the top. The 1.5" wide self material strap runs from one side , over the opening and through a loop to the bottom of the bag. This style of closure helps prevent the bag from being entered while on your back. The strap measures 34" making it an ample length for being carried comfortably cross the chest like a messenger bag. The base is sewn on with a pipped seam and tape sealing on the inside making it really strong and able to carry heavy loads. Made from heavyweight 100% cotton. 1982 was Maritime year in the UK, for this we added a striped collar to our plain navy smocks, thus creating the sailor look. From then on we produced many more designs. They are used quite regularly as page boy outfits when matched with striped or white trousers.

The sleeves on this working smock are made from 4oz PUC-coated nylon. Lightweight, non-rip and waterproof - the sleeves are hemmed but can be cut off to the length required. This will keep the clothes underneath from getting wet and the sleeves can be washed off so the smock will go on longer before needing to be washed.
